Connect Sertifier with Canvas to automatically issue digital credentials to students in your chosen course.
Go to your course Settings in Canvas to start the integration process.
Click on Apps and search for Sertifier then click Add App.
This will lead you to a dialog asking for your Consumer Key and Shared Secret, which you can find in the Sertifier app at Settings > API & Integrations.
While copying your key from the Sertifier app, it is important that you save your Canvas URL in the Sertifier App, so that the integration can be completed (exp url: https://canvas.instructure.com/).
Once Sertifier is connected to Canvas, you can add it to your course as a module item. Create a new module in the course you want to issue credentials for. In the pop-up, select “External Tool,” then choose Sertifier from the list. Click “Add Item” to finish adding Sertifier to the module.
Finally, configure the digital credential you want to issue through the integration. Click the Sertifier module item in Canvas to open the credential setup page, where you can select your credential design, details, and email template. You’ll need to create each of these components before you can complete the setup.
Credential Design
Click the green checkmark next to the credential design to select your preferred design. If you do not have a design yet, you can click on Create New Design to access the Credential Designer.

Creating Details
The Credential Details page is where you can input all the essential information for your digital credentials. This section enables you to complete the necessary details for your certificates.

Email Template
Email template is our tab where you design the mail you will send to your certificate recipients. In this tab, you can customize your mail, and you can find more detailed information here.

Once you’ve selected your credential design, details, and email template, save your selections on the credential setup page opened from Canvas. The credential’s status will change to “Active,” confirming that your automated credential issuance is ready.
Students will receive their digital credential when they click the Sertifier module item in their course.
