Pathways lets you connect multiple credential campaigns into a structured learning or certification journey.
Pathways is a powerful feature that allows you to build structured learning and credentialing journeys by connecting multiple campaigns and credentials. With Pathways, you can set prerequisites between credentials, track recipient progress, and even automate credential delivery based on completion, making it easier than ever to guide learners or employees through a clear development route.
This is especially useful for organizations running multi-stage programs, certifications, or learning experiences where credentials build on each other. From structured training programs and skills development pathways to certification tiers tailored for specific roles, Pathways enables you to organize all of these elements seamlessly in one centralized location.
How to Create a Pathway
Follow these steps to set up your first Pathway:
1. Navigate to Pathways
-
Go to the left-hand menu.
-
Under Advanced, select Pathways.
2. Create a New Pathway
-
Click the Create New Pathway button on the Pathways page.
3. Add a Title and Description
-
Enter your Pathway Title and Description.
-
This information will be visible to recipients when they view the Pathway on Verified.
4. Add Credentials to the First Step
-
Start by adding credentials either from existing Campaigns or through Integrations.
- To select campaigns from Campaigns or Integrations, you must prepare them in advance. If these campaigns are not set up beforehand, they will not be visible when you are creating your Pathway.
-
This will form the first step in your Pathway.
5. View Credential Details
-
You can click on the campaigns you’ve added to see which recipients have already received the associated credentials.
6. Add Additional Steps
-
Once the first step is set, click on the Plus icon and include more credentials in the next stages of the Pathway.
7. Set Prerequisites
-
After creating at least two steps, you can start adding prerequisites for credentials in the second step and beyond.
-
Select from the credentials in the previous step and use AND/OR logic to define completion requirements.
-
For example: A recipient must complete Credential A AND Credential B or just Credential C to unlock the next step.
-
8. Automate Credential Delivery
-
Turn on the Send Automatically toggle if you’d like credentials to be sent as soon as their prerequisites are met.
-
This allows you to automate the entire credentialing process with minimal manual work.
9. Save and Publish
-
Once your Pathway is ready, click Save and then Publish to make it live.
10. View the Pathway
-
Click the View button to see how your Pathway will appear to recipients in Verified.
