Automatically issue certificates and badges to Typeform respondents. Connect your accounts, map form fields, and let credentials send instantly upon every form submission.
Integrating Sertifier with Typeform allows you to automatically send certificates and badges when someone submits your form. This powerful automation is perfect for event registrations, course completions, assessments, feedback forms, and any other scenario where you want to recognize participants with digital credentials.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- An active Sertifier account
- A Typeform account with a plan that supports integrations
Create Your Form on Typeform
Before setting up the integration, you'll need to have a Typeform ready. This could be:
- A registration form for events or courses
- A feedback or survey form
- An assessment or quiz
- Any form where you want to issue credentials upon completion
Make sure your form includes the essential fields you'll need for personalization, such as:
- Participant name
- Email address
- Any other relevant information (company, score, completion date, etc.)

Connect Your Sertifier Account
Install the Integration in Sertifier
To start the integration process, you need to connect Typeform with your Sertifier account.
Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Integrations in your Sertifier account.
Step 2: Locate and select Typeform from the list of available integrations.
Step 3: Click to connect and you will be redirected to log in to your Typeform account.
Step 4: Authorize Sertifier to access your Typeform account when prompted. This allows Sertifier to retrieve form submissions and trigger credential issuance.
Step 5: Once authorized, you'll see your Typeform integration shown as Active in Sertifier.
Your Sertifier and Typeform accounts are now successfully connected. The next step is to create a credential campaign that will be automatically sent when someone submits your form.
Create Your Credential Campaign
Step 1: Go to Advanced > Integrations from the left menu of your Sertifier account.
Step 2: Click Create New Integration from the top left corner.
Step 3: Select Typeform from the list of integrations.
Step 4: Choose the specific Typeform you want to connect from your available forms.
Step 5: Proceed with creating the credential details, credential design, and email template.
Credential Detail
The detail page is where you input the information for your digital credentials.
Within the credential campaign flow, click on "Select Detail", and then proceed by clicking the Create New Detail button.
1. Fill in the Credential Title
Begin by entering the title for your credential. This title will serve as the primary identifier and should clearly reflect the nature of the credential being issued (e.g., "Course Completion Certificate," "Event Attendance Badge," "Workshop Participation Award").
2. Fill in the Credential Description
Next, provide a detailed description for the credential. This description should convey the purpose, significance, and any pertinent details about the credential to help recipients understand its value and relevance.
3. Add Relevant Skills
- Search for Existing Skills: Utilize relevant keywords associated with the credential to search for skills within our database. When you add a skill, related skills will also become accessible, offering you additional options that may be pertinent to your credential.
- AI Generated Skill Suggestions: Our AI bot will automatically suggest relevant skills based on the title and description you've provided.
- Add Custom Skills: If you cannot find a suitable skill, you have the option to add a custom skill. Simply type the desired skill into the search bar. If the skill does not appear in the suggestions, scroll to the bottom of the list and click on the option to add a custom skill.
4. Choose Optional Fields
After adding the necessary details and skills, you can choose to include any optional fields in your credential. These optional fields allow you to further customize the credential to fit your specific needs and requirements.
The optional fields you can add to your credential detail include: Credential Type, Duration, Cost, Level, Earning Criteria, Expiry Date, and Supporting Documents.
Credential Design
Within the credential campaign, click either the "Select Badge Design" or "Select Certificate Design" option, or create both of them under the same campaign. Then, select Create New Design to customize your credential design.

Once you've finished customizing your credential design, save it, and then continue with your campaign with the email step.
Email Template
Proceed with "Select Email Template", and click the Create New Email button.
The 'Email Template' tab is where you create and customize the email you'll be sending the credentials to your recipients. Here, you have the flexibility to personalize your email according to your preferences. For more detailed information, please refer to this help article.
Recipients
Your recipients will be retrieved automatically as they submit your Typeform.
You have the option of disabling the automatic sending of your credentials upon form submission by switching off the Instant Sending button inside your credential campaign. This allows you to review submissions before credentials are issued.
Field Mapping
One of the most important steps in the integration is mapping your Typeform fields to Sertifier recipient attributes. This ensures that the information collected in your form is correctly transferred to the digital credentials.
When setting up your integration, you'll be able to match:
- Typeform response fields (like name, email, score, or custom questions)
- Sertifier recipient attributes (the data that will appear on the credential)
For example:
- Map the "Full Name" field from Typeform to the
recipient.nameattribute in Sertifier - Map the "Email Address" field to
recipient.email - Map any assessment scores or custom responses to custom attributes you've created
This mapping ensures each submission automatically generates a personalized certificate or badge with the correct information.
Attributes
Attributes are what make up your credential - they're the details that make a credential unique.
These attributes are integrated into the credential design and automatically populated with the information you provide through your Typeform submissions.
Available System Attributes
| Attribute | Description |
|---|---|
recipient.name |
The recipient's name is automatically obtained from your mapped Typeform field. |
recipient.email |
The recipient's email is automatically obtained from your mapped Typeform field. |
issuer.name |
The issuer's name is automatically retrieved from Settings > Organization. |
credential.name |
Credential name information is obtained from the title of your credential detail. |
credential.id |
The credential ID is generated uniquely for each issued credential. |
credential.campaignName |
Credential campaign name information is obtained from the title of your credential campaign. |
credential.description |
Credential description information is obtained from the description field you've filled out. |
recipient.expireDate |
The expire date information is taken from the chosen credential detail. |
typeform.formName |
The name of the Typeform that triggered the credential issuance. |
Custom Attributes from Typeform
You can also map any Typeform question responses to custom attributes in Sertifier. This allows you to include specific information from your form directly on the credential, such as:
- Event names
- Course titles
- Assessment scores
- Completion dates
- Participant companies
- Any other custom data collected in your form
Activate Your Integration
Once you've completed all the setup steps:
Step 1: Review your credential campaign settings to ensure everything is configured correctly.
Step 2: Turn on the automation by activating the campaign.
Step 3: Test the integration by submitting a test form entry to verify that credentials are issued correctly.
That's it! Once set up, the integration runs on autopilot. Every time someone submits your Typeform, they'll automatically receive their personalized digital credential from Sertifier - saving you time and ensuring instant recognition for your participants.
